Gone Country

So…. we made the first step to what I consider country living about a year ago.

We bought four cows from my brother and we put them on our farm.  Ok, so maybe four cows is not considered much of a farm.  But, if you have always lived in the city and only owned dogs, turtles, birds, rabbits, cats, hamsters, baby ducks, and hermit crabs, then a cow is considered a real farm animal. Four of them…in a pasture…sure smells like a farm…and is considered a farm by me.

My husband has prepared great pasture land with beautiful fencing.  He continues to amaze me with his creativity.  He visualizes things and then he makes them a reality.

I on the other hand….have great ideas (or at least I think they are great) and I just let them stay ideas.

I seem to get stuck on how to proceed.

As I spend time in the pasture, I find that I am seeing a lot of -life- lessons while watching the animals.  I came up with another one of my bright ideas and thought….hey, I should have a blog to put all this on.

I started sharing the stories with my family through e-mails and they said…hey, you should start a blog.

This time I have decided to put this idea into reality. Thanks to my son and his great computer skills, I am blogging!

They say women have a lot more words to use up then men do….so I plan to use mine up everyday.

And by the way….we now have nine cows, three goats, two donkeys and two ponies!  And of course our dog Ellie Mae.
